Who are some of your musical influences?
Some of the most influential musicians in my life are Justin Timberlake and Snoop Dogg. I have a lot of respect for artists who not only make music but can dance, act, and model as well. Both these artists have mastered the craft of entertainment, and that’s something I really look up to.
If you could collaborate with any artist who would you choose?
If I were able to perform a song with anyone, I would definitely want Logic on one of my tracks. I think the combination of my vocals and his rapping would make for an amazing song.
“Falling for you” what’s the song really mean to you?
Falling for You is one of the most unique songs I’ve ever made; it’s unlike anything I’ve ever written. What sets it apart from all my other music is the slow and smooth melody accompanied by the vocals which were pushed harder than they ever have before. It’s one of my favorite songs I’ve done because of the ambition it took to create it.
What do you hope people take from your music when listening?
I make music to connect with people. It’s a surreal feeling when someone comes up to you and explains how your music has saved their life. That’s what I love about music, it’s art, and like all art, it can be an incredibly powerful medium to communicate with people from all walks of life. Regardless of age, sex, location, religion, or background, anyone can find meaning in any of my songs.
