Acclaimed, multi-platinum selling, Oscar, Golden Globe and 10x Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter John Legend has unveiled the official video for his anthemic single “Love Me Now.” Directed by Nabil Elderkin (Kanye West, Alt-J, Vince Staples, Travis Scott), the video is a beautiful testament to the song’s core narrative of loving each other to the fullest, no matter what tomorrow may bring. Shot in various locations such as the Domiz Refugee Camp in Northern Iraq, Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, FL, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota, the video captures various couples living their own unique and equally powerful love stories. John was also recently announced to perform the song at The American Music Awards on Sunday, November 20 at 8|7c on ABC.

Shares Nabil: “This video shows how love can be shared in some of the most difficult situations on earth in which the human spirit and connection with each other prevails.  From one of the longest standing refugee camps in northern Iraq just 45 miles outside of Mosul, to Standing Rock Reservation where they are fighting against the Dakota Access Pipeline that threatens their sacred lands and all of our water, it is a glimpse into these couples’ lives and the lives of those in their communities.”

“Love Me Now,” written and produced by John Legend with Blake Mills (Alabama Shakes) and John Ryan (One Direction), is featured on Legend’s highly-anticipated new album DARKNESS AND LIGHT. The album also features multiple guest collaborations including Chance the Rapper, Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard, and Miguel.

Legend also just launched his #LoveMeNow campaign on johnlegend.com/lovemenow/Fans are invited to join the celebration of love by uploading an image to the photo gallery with someone they care about using #LoveMeNow.
