DJ Feature: Sucre Soul Releases House and Soul Album

Tshepo Shawn Marong is a focused and self-motivated Music Producer and DJ. He is better known by his stage name SucreSoul

SucreSoul started his musical journey at ElethuThemba Combined High School in Eikenhof and Ithuteng Trust School in Soweto

It was in 2004, however, that SucreSoul then known as DJ Shawn was introduced to music production by DJ Smart

 That was the beginning of a musical revolution led by this young and talented record producer.

 

SucreSoul produces house music as his first love , but he is not limited to just that genre

 Hip Hop, Kwaito and most recently AfroSoul are among the other genres that this brilliant artist shows his versatility . SucreSoul has produced hits for local artists such KingKesi, Swati Kid and Schitzo in the Hip Hop sector

He is currently working with Palesa Phalane on her upcoming Afro-Soul project. 

SucreSoul has just finalised his debut album titled “I Am SucreSoul”, which drops 07 October 2016 under Sisonke Records

Packed with 24 hits it is a double disc album that defines his abilities and love

12 tracks make the first disc called SUCRE, which is dance tracks to rock any party

The second disc is SOUL where he shows his range in lounge and laid back house music.

 

The first single from the album is entitled “Ngeke” and features stable mate Sfiso the Gifted on vocals

This masterpiece promises to drive crowds insane as both young and old won’t be able to resist singing along to this catchy tune 

In 2010 he worked with Nomandla Mfecane, the Joyous Celebration songstress on the song “Say you Love Me’ which got some radio airplay

This followed him changing his name to SucreSoul and releasing an EP titled “Self Discovery”

The single “Not Easily Broken” ft Es-Tone, from that EP, did well and also got some airplay

As a creative, SucreSoul’s loves all things artistic even got him a feature on Mzansi Magic telenovela Zabalaza

¡SucreSoul’s vocal ability is also featured on Mash-O’s Single “Lekopokopo”

After partnering with Cyril Mzamo to set up Sisonke Records SucreSoul has worked on his debut album and released hit song “Papedaa” ft Uche International

 

SucreSoul has shared stages with BlackCoffee, MobiDixion, Just Mo, Mash-O, Aero Manyelo, DJ Zinhle, K.O as well as the legendary Senyaka Kekana.

SucreSoul is also no stranger to the Corporate arena, having been the performer of choice for entities such as Transnet;  Channel4Life,; Discovery and Capricorn FM.
