George Michael Adaptation ‘One More Cry’ to Raise Funds for People Opposing Women Abuse in South Africa

Beryl, aka Voice of Reason, releases the hard hitting and powerful George Michael adaptation, One More Cry, as a voice for change in South Africa. One More Cry is her first track as a solo artist.  Beryl’s love of writing and long-time fear of dying one day without ever having done something ‘worthwhile’ for someone in need, led to the birth of One More Cry. As someone who is passionately against woman abuse, she chose People Opposing Woman Abuse (POWA) as the charity for which she would work.

All by herself, she set out to adapt British celebrity and superstar George Michael’s haunting classic, ‘One More Try’, changing some of its lyrics and adding some different melodies to the song, calling it ‘One More Cry’.

To her utter amazement, George Michael immediately welcomed her idea and generously gave her permission for the adaptation, its video and a ringtone. Beryl then set out in search of the right artists to work with.

The song is produced by Ludwig Bouwer of One Big Room Studios. It features the ingenuity of Darren Terry on guitar and that of the Soweto Artistic Singers. The Music Video was conceived and directed by Beryl and Alex Mabunda.
